Passing it along give away-arrows
« on: March 19, 2015, 08:15:00 PM »
Hey all I have been the recipient of many generous deals and freebies from other archers. This was especial true when I was just learning and ultimately broke! Both from members here, elsewhere, and people I know in my life. The very first gift given to me was a box of old aluminum arrow shafts of various sizes and lengths from my buddies dad when I proudly showed him my first stick bow. These I learned to splice together to make workable arrows while I learned. Next was a friend from Oklahoma who knew I got the bug bad and sent me a box of his uncles old archery gear including a serving jig which I am still using today! These are just a few examples of fine generosity that I can count in my blessings. Since tradgang was the very first site I joined and I have had some wonderful folks make great deals with me I figured I would pass it along here. I have 9 mostly 29 1/2 2016 game getters I would like to give away. These arrows are not all perfectly straight as they have been my stumpers and I don't baby them but, all fly true. I will make sure all have fletchings and inserts installed. I will give them away on sun the 29th.  I would very much like these to go to someone who has a genuine need for them. Someone who is new and doesn't have much gear, or someone who cannot afford new arrows, or people with kids who's bows need feeding! Ect   :)  . No need to post your story or anything just add your name to the thread with an I'd like to be in message and I will draw a name sun.   [/IMG]

I would also like to add that traditional archers are great folks. I have made trade in the mail with a bunch of them and never a bit of dishonesty or insincerity. I have never felt the need to worry that I might ship my stuff but, they won't theirs or anything like that. Great folks! One member here saw a post of mine asking about American leathers gloves and sent me his to try for free! Another sold me 13 xx78 shafts for 30 bucks, another from Texas sent me 1/2 dozen bamboo shafts to try after he saw a thread by me asking about them. Terry green  sent me bow hunters of tradgang in the mail no questions asked when I posted about needed form help. These are just a few.

That's the size I shoot, but I'll let someone else have them as I have been the recipient of many "gifts" over the years too.

Thank you for giving back.

I'll post a "Pay it Back" as well.  It's not my first and certainly won't be my last, God willing, as I could never repay the things I have been gifted over the years and the information and help that's been given to me freely without reservation.

"Z-Giveaway" Forum here might get more people who are on the "strapped" side and starting out that would jump on these....

I love the fact you'd like to see them go to someone who is not in a situation to buy arrows right now...Excellent way to "pay it forward".

Well seeing as how it's the 29th and I have no takers I guess I will just hang on to these.  Maybe I will run across some one that needs em.

I really want these going to somebody who is brand new, lacking in funds, or both. I am not trying to call you out or anything but I read in your posts that you have six bows as of now. So I would rather hang on to them till I can find someone who could really use them.

If you're referring to me these arrows aren't for me,they are for my step-granddaughter. Right now she is shooting a compound that her parents bought her. No one in her family (parents, aunts, uncles) that is an archer uses traditional equipment but most have a picqued interest in trying traditional. All of my children are adults so I no longer have a light draw stickbow that my granddaughter could use;this I'm working on.

These items would go much faster if they could be listed on the POW WOW.  Not any people even know this exists.
