Free to a Good Home (Done!)
« on: October 18, 2013, 04:50:00 PM »
When I started this journey last year I bought eight vintage recurves looking for Ms. Right. She happened to be a longbow. So, I am gifting a recurve to someone. If you have no bow to hunt with, or know someone else that would like to get into the trad thing, I have a Darton (I think it is the Superflite Hunter model) 58" recurve 55# @ 28" draw. String and cat whisker silencers are almost new. The bow is in good shape, no stress cracks, not warped or twisted, shoots "where you look" and it's real quick. No, it ain't a custom bow, but the price is right.
Here's the catch; you can't sell it. Ever. You have to give your word that it stays with you as long as it is shootable, or you can GIFT it to someone else who is in NEED of a bow.

First asker gets it, but please have a need and not just a want for another bow.

thanks,

WhiteBeard 121

Update: The bows have been promised, going out Wednesday.

That is awesome! A stunning example of passing on the gift & tradition.

Well done sir!

Whitebeard,
I have a friend who just had his bow bust on him. If the bow is still available i know he would appreciate it very much. I have bows but they are all to heavy of a draw for him.

Whitebeard, I would like my name thrown in the hat.  I understand and like the rules.
