Anyone want a cow hide?
« on: December 19, 2012, 01:42:00 PM »
I know this is a little unusual, but I just butchered a Galloway Steer that has a neat marbled black/white hide.  Galloways have fairly long hair, so the hide could be tanned and used on a tent/teepee floor, or who knows what else.

I would give the hide to anyone wanting it - it's now in north central Nebraska, but I'll be travelling through SD, ND, MN & WI over the next few weeks.

I also have a tanned black Galloway hide I would sell.

Just thought someone on here might have a use ...

Scared me for a minute there. Thought you shot the biggest piebald doe you ever saw    :)

That's a great offer and if I had any more room in the basement (which is the only place I'm allowed to put "that sort of thing") I'd gladly pay the shipping. Just flat no room left.

Please add me to your list. I think I could use it to revisit my past because my mom used to do leathercraft.

I would love a chance at this.  I would use it to make a back quiver, armguard and matching haversack
