Free natural feathers (5" LW parabolics)
« on: February 08, 2011, 10:44:00 PM »
I purchased some natural feathers from someone over the internet, and got a bunch of second class feathers...low oil lines, poorly ground quills...some were short with very thick quills and others were short with very thin quills (it looked like they tried to get 2 feathers out of one). If you look close, they also show some moth tracks...although they are usable, I am not going to use them nor am I going to sell them.

There are about 40 that are usable, but they are not primaries or even secondaries IMO...I would say 3rd class. Regardless, I went ahead and chopped the best sections to 5" parabolics.

If someone wants them for kid arrows, let me know...I'll give them to them for free and even cover the shipping. No biggie. List your name here, and I'll put your name in a hat and select a winner.

Sorry, ONLY FOR people that make NON-PROFIT KID ARROWS. Be it give away arrows or even for your own kids...either way is fine with me. Please use the honor system on this one. Thanks.

Until next time...good shooting,
Lee

Lee,

Awesome. As you know, I am trying to get a kid's archery program going. I just need to find someone to make the arrows.

1oldlongbowguy,

I drew "1old" which was short for your username. Send me a PM as to who and where to send the feathers.
Until next time...good shooting,
Lee
