Merry Christmas TG--FINAL WEEK--One With the Wilderness
« on: December 19, 2010, 07:27:00 PM »
OK gang, this is the last week to get a free copy of Mike's book.  We only had half the participants last week since being taken of the PowWow, so be in the Christmas spirit and tell a friend were to find this gift.  I'll copy some of last week's info and say that the deadline is 7pm Christmas Day.  I will get to it as soon as I can, but will be celebrating with family.

Merry Christmas everyone!

In ordered to be considered for the book, you have to enter on THIS post. I am not going back thru the old ones--it would be too confusing. So if you entered last previously, you will have to take the 10 seconds this week in order to be entered.

Last year, as a Christmas present to my Trad Gang family I gave away a personalized copy of Mike Mitten's book, "One With the Wilderness".

Frankly, the book is an inspiration. I am so impressed with it on so many levels, I have decided to give away another...each week for the next four weeks, ending on Christmas Day.

I will make a new post each week on Sunday. Post your name here on the thread that you would like to to be in the drawing and I will set a deadline of Saturday night at 7pm, put all the names in a hat and have one of my kids draw the lucky winner. I will contact you and get all your information. Mike will personalize it any way you would like,( so you can keep it for yourself, or give it to a buddy or loved one) and then ship it out to you.

If you are not familiar with the book, it basically chronicles Mike's growth as a hunter from the beginning with family and friends to the grand solo adventures he takes today. It is not a how to book, but if you read it carefully, you will pick up many tips that will help you on all of your hunts. Every time I read it, I learn something new and find yet another reason to be impressed.

There is a more eloquent description here on the Brothers of the Bow website:

 http://www.brothersofthebow.com/html/mikesbook.html

So here we go, this week's gift signup deadline is 7pm Saturday December 25th

Merry Christmas!

Steve,
I would like to have another chance to win this great book for a friend if that's o.k. ...I have one of Mikes very first ones and it has a special meaning to me cause I took it to China when my wife and I were adopting our second abandoned little girl from there...When we were on the plane my first daughter spilled Orange juice on it and then lost her Groceries(Puked) on it...I wrote to Mike about it in a P.M and told him it still kept me sane while I was over there...So mine has very special meaning and I can't part with it if you know what I mean...God Bless you for doing this and having a Giving heart...Merry Christmas to you all...Keefer's <")))><

Absolutely Keefer...that is pretty much what I am doing here.  I have one and like it so much, I want to give one to my friends.  Mike will personalize it however you would like when you win.  The only bad part about ending it Saturday is the winner won't have it in time to give as a Christmas present if that was the plan.
