Hi,
I'm interested with the Blacktail Elite VL recurve, but I do not know which wood to choose... I like the dark woods.
Do you have any pics?
Thanks
I will VERY soon!! :bigsmyl:

Thanks XD
Go to Bigfoot Bows site in the sponsor links as well as others to get labeled options. One day I'm gonna be faced with that tough choice. Best wishes
This is a Blacktail Sitka T2.
Riser is Australian Corrugata Burl and Macassar Ebony. Limb splices are the aussie burl and myrtle.
This combination makes for a heavy mass weight riser.

Here's a Rose Oak Heritage. The dark wood is Macassar Ebony. The lighter wood is Bolivian Rosewood. This bow is a dead ringer for a Super Kodiak except with TD limbs.

Mine should be shipping any day now. The neighbors wonder why I'm camping beside my mailbox! :dunno:

I know how that is, my neighbors probably think the same thing sometimes.
Santa just called....mine is shipping out today. :jumper: :jumper:
I am getting more and more intrigued by the Rose Oak bows. Seems to be on to something good...
I know Allen is a lefty so not many can shoot his fine bows. Have fun with it, Allen.
Theo. Just go to their website and you'll get so many wood combo pics it will amaze, and, confuse as they all look so good. Too many choices. My advice-take your time selecting.
The good thing is they don't ask for your wood choice, etc to be set in stone when you place your order.
They will contact you just before they are ready to start your bow, then get all the particulars.
Take a look at the Snakebit pictures on their website...they will only make those bows when they can access great quality Snakewood and Gaboon Ebony for the riser and myrtle for the veneers...Gaboon Ebony is so dark that if one did not know they would say it was black phenolic...Snakewood is also a dark wood...my Snakebit was an older one and had Koa veneers

I'd imagine the Blacktail folks have some beautiful cocobolo stashed away for T2 bows.
Cocobolo and bowcote. They darken with age:

I'm sure that you already that you can go on the Blacktail stock bows page and scroll down and drool like I do almost every day!
