It's been a busy fall here at Twisted Stave. With most of September spent harassing elk with the stickbows, we didn't really start getting ready for our mule deer hunt until mid October. And then, our November departure day was bearing down fast. It's a good thing I'd been shooting almost daily all summer. If you've been following the facebook page, you'll know we recently got back from a raft trip through the heart of the central Idaho wilderness, filming and chasing muley bucks along the way.
After a two day weather delay and more television than I thought I could stand, we finally got a break in the weather and the Cessna 206s were airborne. A half hour later and we were finally standing on the backcountry airstrip with miles of river, and the promise of rutting bucks, before us.
The link below will take you to the teaser vid. Enjoy

That looks spectacular Clay! I'm looking forward to the full version.
And thank you for your support of PBS!!
You're an artist, no doubt! I really enjoy your films and they always make me grab a bow and step out back to fling at least an arrow or two. Ill bet half the stuff you edit out would be as good as the rest. Keep doing your thing.
Izzy
Man, you have a talent with that movie camera!!!!!!
Can't wait to see the whole thing!

Looking forward to it, Clay!
It's deeply satisfying to see and experience the beauty of nature we all know and love as sportsman it's really something else to be able to capture the essence of those feelings and emotions within a medium like film. Well done Clay. Makes me want to drive the 31 hrs to the 2016 Backcountry Hunters & Anglers rendezvous in Missoula MT.
:campfire:
Man beautiful, I'm in when will it be out?
Doesn't that bring back memories. I've piggyback in a mail plane flying that country. Quite an experience.
Also got to accompany friends on a Sheep hunt along the Middle Fork of the Salmon. I didn't have a tag but went along for the ride. Took my longbow and kept us in Grouse. Two days to pack in with goats, 10 day hunt, then two days out. My Buddies had cached food for the hunt throughout the summer on their scouting trips.
That was quite a trip thinking back on it.
I look forward to the Film, Clay.

Thanks guys. The timeline is as follows: This will debut in Missoula at the April 2016 BHA Rendezvous. After that, it'll go on tour for a year. Not sure what the tour schedule is right now but I'll post something when I do. After that, I'll release it online. But, it won't go online until summer/fall 2017.
Your right, it is a teaser. Love the country.

Great stuff. Just the teaser alone makes a statement about how many of us feel as outdoorsmen/bowhunters.
