Title: New Sasquatch
Post by: ojackson on December 13, 2015, 08:47:00 PM
I've received my new t/d sasquatch longbow from Kirk Lavender of Bigfoot bows this past week. It is the finest finish and prettiest bow I've ever held in my hands. It's bocote and myrtle in the riser with bocote veneers under clear glass. I don't know how to post pics so hopefully Kirk can get some on here soon. I dropped almost 10 lbs of draw weight and didn't lose any speed, i think I've actually gained some over a few of my others. It shoots super flat well past 20 yards and it is whisper quiet. I am truly impressed with his craftsmanship and knowledge on bows. Thank you Kirk for such a great work of art and it being a great shooting bow to.

Welcome to the fold!

If I were rich instead of ...well, no, if I were just rich, I'd own more of his bows...so many types one wants one of each.    :banghead:

I keep all my bows around the same draw the last years, 48-50# and my Sas came in 47#, which was fine, but I had to go UP in spine with same front weight over my other bows...so I don't doubt you're still pushing a fast arrow...

I think you'll find that your admiration just continues to grow the longer you shoot that sucker!

Pretty rascal too!

Thank you Kirk for the pics and the bow. And thanks everyone for the kind words. The screws in the riser are in the quiver inserts, just protecting the threads.

What Doc said about the arrows is true for me also. But the real problem I have is targets. It blows my arrows thru all my targets after each shooting sessions. These bows hit hard and they are very quiet. Great looking bow.

Wow that is nice, bocote drool drool.

My Sasquatch longbow was the fastest and quietest bow I have shot, like an idiot I sold it when in a pinch.

That truly is a beauty. Congrats to you. And great job Kirk.

My New Years resolution for next year was going to be "no more bows." But after seeing and shooting Doc Nock's bow...and seeing a beauty like that...I'm really wanting me a Sasquatch.

Yes those are quiver inserts, with the mounting screws in them... i guess it would have looked better if i left the screws out for the picture eh?
