Damn it. Just shot in the back yard, at a tiny stuffed sheep dog toy. My Big Jim Buffalo against my youngest Tyler with his St. Joe River long bow.
He is twelve.
I started strong, and was crushing.
We just finished, and he won. He really won. We were both inches away on each shot, literally inches where my wife had to judge. The little bast%$@ beat me legitimate. I'm beyond thrilled and totally pissed at the same time!
Tomorrow we battle again!
Just wait until he gets older. Thats awesome.
Awesome.
:help:
Ha..!!! Good teacher...!!!
Be careful for what you wish for and thankful at the same time! I was there once... and still trying to catch up. Blessings.
Darren
Get used to it.
LOL!! Good stuff.
That's hard to swallow :biglaugh: but good at the same time.
"bast%$@ beat me legitimate"
One of the greatest TG phrases of all time...
Good stuff, you can always give him the old " I taught you everything"
I laughed out loud at that one!
Dad calls a legitimate win by his illigitimate son? Oh man that's funny!
:jumper:
Teach him everything he knows, just don't teach him everything you know!!!!
:biglaugh: I love it.......
That is AWESOME David!!! Bruises the ego a tad, but you cant help but smile knowing they are taking it to you!!!
HA HA HA HA HA!! now thats what i call style right there
Dave you cant teach them everything you know starting at a young age and expect to stay ahead in the race! Nice shooting young man, nothing better than whippin' on the old man!
I love this! Especially because it has happened to me!
Tomorrow we battle again! :banghead: Sounds like someone may be a bow hunter!
Sounds like this could be a recurring clash of the titans!! Can't think of a better way to spend the winter.
I have coached (no longer coaching) a Scholastic Clays youth skeet team. These kids have been national champions twice and had a bronze medal at the nationals last year.
Tell me all about being whipped by a young kid!
That is great. Love it when the kids blossom that way. Good job.
Joe
Today's competition was a bit closer....and I may have won......
but as he said, "you're lucky I have a cold".
good thing you didn't make a bet like the loser rakes the leaves or cleans up the dog crap,,, you know the stuff you bet when you think the kid will lose.
:biglaugh:
Busted a gut. LOL.
That's funny stuff right there. Kids are awesome
What excuse did you use? Never let them know they beat you fair and square. :knothead:

I have two who come out and whip up on the old man all the time it demoralizing. But wait old age and deception out do youth and enthusiasm every time.
But we do have a good time and its great that all four of my sons have stayed with traditional so I'll take the beating with smug silence.
SWEET!! I look forward to the day Nathan my youngest beats me.
Looks like the kid has a pretty good teacher!
