Do any of you guys that have around a 29" draw shoot a 56" PCH? I am about to receive one in a trade and would like to see what others have experienced. According to black widows site, it says I would need the 58 or 60" limbs, but I know that some times those are kind of conservative numbers.
My draw length is 29.5". But I could probably shorten it a little to 28.5 by anchoring in the corner of mouth.
Thanks for your replies.
I have found that with Black Widow recurves (and other reverse bows with high grips) my draw is almost 29" whereas I draw 27.5 with my PL II. If you got 58" limbs I doubt there would be a happier archer on earth than you, after you after the first few arrows with a 58" PCH. I have a 60" too, and it is a little bit more accurate, but the 58" is very powerful and is still a great shooter.
If the 56" winds up too short for you and it is 49 -54# I might be interested but I wish you success with it. I only draw 26.5" and 56" is what Black Widow recommends for stubby draws like mine.
God's Peace
Graybeard beat me to it with his offer. I doubt you will encounter a shortage of folks wanting to help you out with your situation.
that is one of the reasons I accepted the trade even knowing it may not work out.
I figured i could turn it over kind of quick!
im right at 29" and have shot a 56" just fine. that said though, my 58" recurve is the most comfortable and my go to bow 99% of the time.
My friend had a BW ( don't remember which model) his was 56" and I draw about 29". I could feel it start to stack and get stiff maybe .5" to .75" from my anchor.
I believe you would like the 58" and up a lot better. I own 2 BW a MA and a PSA both 62" and love them.
56" PCH is short for a 29+" draw. I think you will be much happier with the 58". I draw a tad over 28" and my 58" PCH was as smooth as butter!
The Black Widow team's recommendations are most reliable.
Daniel...save yourself some stress and frustration and just ship that Widder on to Arkansas...!! :goldtooth: :biglaugh:
