After our hunting season is over, I want to make a couple of changes.
Namely, I want to go from a tab to a glove and from 3 under to split.
I started shooting in 2006 and started split with a glove.
There are a few reasons I want to go back, but the biggest is being able to wear a glove while hunting and quieting my bows down just a bit by going to split.
So...any recommendations are making the change? Do's/Don'ts?
You'll have to change your handle. :saywhat:
I've always liked American Leathers gloves. Don't need that much protection if you're shooting bows 50# or less though.
Of course, may need to change your anchor point (up or down a little) as well. Regardless, you'll have a slightly different sight picture, but won't take long to adjust. Good luck.
Work on a lower poundage bow to develop a new anchor point. I shoot high when I go from 3 under to split
I tried that a while back, mainly to try something new. For me it was a big step backwards even though that is how I shot for most of my life. I will stick with 3 under and a tab. Good luck and have fun trying out a new old style.
American leathers big shot or crossover. I made the the switch 2 yrs ago and glad I did. Watch John Schulz videos on YouTube. Those helped me with the change over.
Stick to three under. I shot split for so long. Never again.

Shoot low brutha... shoot low.... your point on is going to change drastically if you keep the same anchor point..... If i were you i'd try using a glove and stick with 3 under, or use a thin glove and stick with the tab.....
Going from split to 3 under was a good transition for me. Going back to split finger after shooting 3 under is a lot tougher to do and still maintain any type of gap aiming method.... good luck on that.
I know Kirk. My consistency improved dramatically.
Maybe I'll just try going to the glove. I'd be happy with that as far as hunting goes.
3 Rivers Dura Glove is a fine glove. I shot them for years. The only problem with a glove for me is I hunt in hot weather and after a while the glove starts to smell like something dead...RC
