I have only managed to get in the woods a few times this year. Then yesterday I managed to have a heart attack. I'm doing well in the hospital right now. According to the doctor, the damage could have been much worse. I have had heart issues for years. My dad died at 55 from a heart attack and I am 55 now. I now have five stents. Not sure I spelled that right. According to the doc bypasses are the only option from here. Anyway I guess it worked out as well as it could.
Speedy recover Sir! Least your typing still. Did they just put in stents or are you heading to bypasses?
Hang in there brother, there's always next season!!! The Good Lord has given you extra time to appreciate the things He has given us!
God speed,
Rodd
Take care of yourself, do as they say and you'll be back out ready to go next fall.

Get well soon
Hope you get well soon! Prayers are offered up. Do like my father-in-law did. He had a heart attack and ultimately had heart surgery. When they put him on a rigorous rehab program, he never came off it. When the rehab period was completed, he continued to go to the gym regularly. He lived for many years after that and was able to return to his favorite activities. I hope you can also.
best of luck to you and a fast recovery

Took I'm a year or so before he trusted hotting the mountains again but it will only get better. Good luck.

Thanks for all of the well wishes. I feel fine now. The doctor just wont let me do anything. I feel like I could be out shooting right now. No intention of hanging up the bows. Just trying to do what the doc says. Making some hard life style changes. Lots of inspiration on here. Thanks again!
Ed you better listen to Dr. and do what he says. Hope you get to feeling better soon.
Prayers sent for you sir!RC

We'll be praying for a speedy recovery and a healthy future!
I'm only 29 now, but I worry about that myself a bit because my grandfather and all of his brothers (4out of 6 of them) have had heart attacks. They are all doing okay now though!
Hope your still doing good. Work in Fire and EMS, seen a lot of heart issues. Well in short just keep your chin up as it is amazing how well they can treat heart issues these days.
When the doc clears you to walk around walk around as much as you can stand! Just walk, not a doc but from what I have seen and witnessed it is amazing what staying mobile can do for your heart. Seems keep the fluid off of ya.
Best wishes and hope your beck hunting soon.
