Hello all. My name is Mark Little and I am coming back to traditional equipment after a long time away. I started shooting 30 some years ago on a Shakespeare bow of my dads. Shot a compound (fingers) for years and dabbled with the longbow in the mid nineties. After my compound blew a string and damaged the bow beyond repair I got a new compound that was not at all finger friendly. While it is nice to be able to stack arrows one on top of the other I just miss holding the string in my fingers. So, here I am back to shooting a traditional equipment and loving it.
Now for my question. I have two long bows, a John McCullough RACO and a Jack Smith Blackhawk and I would like to try a FF string but don't know if either of these are FF compatible. Does anyone know if one or either are FF compatible?
Thanks
Mark
I don't know the answer to your question, but welcome to the group!
Don't know about the McCullough but my son and I have Blackhawks from Jack Smith. They are not FF or the modern type material compatible.
WELCOME!!!!
Friends of mine own Raco longbows both are FF compatible.
Thanks everyone. I was hoping the Raco was FF compatible as it is more in poundage range at the moment.
