Tomorrow kicks off Private Land doe season, and I'm ready to chase a muley doe with my stick. I'll either tote my Lil' Creep or my Yellowstone Half-Breed, both very capable longbows. If given the chance, I believe a 30.5" CE Heritage 250 tipped with a 200 grain Wensel Woodsman will do the trick. Hopefully I'll have pictures soon to follow, but 2 things are certain; I am sure to have a good time hauling my stick around the woods and I'll have one mad dog, as I'll have to skip his morning walk.
good luck and be safe :archer2:
Good luck and hope to see some pics soon.
Apparently a lot of guys don't want to wish you luck since I found this on the second page. Maybe they're all jealous that their season is over. Anyway, best of luck and do hope to hear of some success. :bigsmyl:
3 days old! I hope you got a big fat doe!

Good luck and shoot straight :archer2:

Good luck!
Right on. You WILL have a good time. Any time in the woods - stickbow in hand - is a good time!! :archer:
Enjoy and Good luck!
Good luck I hope you find a good one
good luck.
Good luck!
I'll wish you a belated good luck and hope you already filled your tag. I hope the dog wasn't to mad at you either! Lol
:shaka:
Good Luck!

I appreciate all of the wishes, but the stars have yet to align. I've come real close, but odd gusts of wind and being busted by fawns have kept my tag in my pocket. There is a silver lining however; each time a doe busts me and hops off, I get to head back out the next chance I have. I'll keep at it, I've got some time and hopefully I'll have pictures to follow soon.
Good luck. Post pics of your success.
I MISSED a big doe 23 yards from my ground blind. I made a great shot at the wrong range; my arrow sailed just over her back. Had the deer been at 28 yards I'd have had a doe down. I haven't missed since November 2013, and now I remember why I quit doing that :knothead: Its alright, I've still got plenty of time, including today. Nothing like "catch and release" deer hunting. What a morning.
Pics and story to follow later. Thanks for the well wishes. :biglaugh:
:clapper:
