Anyone have the one BigJim sells? If so does it work on aluminum shafts? Not a bad price.Any pros or cons?
I had a similar one, it worked and would cut aluminum just fine but it doesn't compare to a real arrow saw in my opinion. The Weston is pretty affordable and comes with dust collection attachment for your shop vac to hook up too. There was a big thread recently on saws, I'll see if I can find it for you.

I have one of the 2" cut off saws that Big Jim sells. I have been cutting carbon shafts and 2216 aluminum shafts for footings with it. It has been working well for me. I have used it to cut 3-4 dozen carbon shafts and the footings for them so far. I can see how a real arrow saw with a table and length stop would be even better.
What about a apple saw 5000 or 8000?
I have the apple. It has been flawless.
