Recently acquired a Blacktail Sitka T2. 58" and 41# at my 28" draw. Shooting an XX75 1916 Tribute cut to 29.25" with a 100gr Stinger Buzzcut 4 blade for a total weight of 432 grs. Three 4" LW shield cut feathers. About 10 grs/lb. Have also shot the same arrow with a Bear razorhead without bleeder and they fly just as well.

Been using aluminum since the beginning. Killed my first deer with a Herter's aluminum in 1962.

Of course I've killed a pile of stuff with wooden shafts, fiberglass and carbon but have probably done more with aluminum than any other.

For years when I shot 70#+ I used Easton 2219 and now since I've dropped back in weight to 55 to 60# @ 28" I use 2216's. Flight characteristics are perfect even though I tell myself I should be shooting a lighter spine.
None of the lighter shafts I've tried shoot as well as the 2216"s.

I've also used a variety of point weights on them from 125 gr. to 190 with no real impact on arrow flight.

57@28 widow PSA  2020's and zwickey deltas  have taken alot of  game for me, I've shot aluminum since I started hunting in the early 70's  out of a vast variety of longbows and recurves and usually with deltas on aluminum adapters , I've shot alot of woodies but aluminum is my favorite shaft for alot if reasons , never messed with carbons as I never saw a reason to change

29" 2114 / 145gr stinger from my Black Widow PSA 48# @ 28"

Shot a lot of carbons the past few years, but I find for myself it's much easier to tune aluminum or wood shafts, jmho.

2016 Legacys or 500 Gamegetters out of my 46@28 Predator Hunter recurve. I use the Gamegetters for stumping. I foot them with a 2" piece of 2215 (I think that is the size). Makes the 500s a lot more durable fo stumping and roving.

I'm shooting a 29.5" 2016 Legacy with a 125 gr. Eskimo.  I've used various styles and sizes of Easton aluminum shafting since the 60s for all the positive reasons listed by the previous posters.
