Post by: Sticks2117 on November 20, 2015, 08:57:00 AM
I am looking for a new tree stand and wondering what everyone's favorite tree stand(s) is/are?

Lone Wolf.
Our cold Wisconsin seasons require quiet stands.

Millenium. Most comfortable stand out there!

Chippewa wedge lok ... great stands

easy to hang, comfortable, and with the hanging system they are easily moveable, you can have multiple locations with one stand a several hangers.

Summit is pretty much bullet proof.  By far the most comfortable..

I just got the Millennium M150 Monster. I could stay all day in it if I wanted.  It's bigger so it's a little more bulky, but it's not heavy so it doesn't bother me.

I bought a LW hand climber combo II last December after Christmas & it's all I've been using, Love it. I think it's the best all around stand made for my uses. You can use them as a loc-on with sticks or tree steps or as a climber. It's easier to hang than a loc-on or any of the stands that use ratchet straps/straps in my opinion, way more adjustment too. Being able to set the seat height any where you want is awesome. We have a lot of climber friendly tree's & with a good limb saw, (Mines a Silkey, like it too) I've had no troubles hunting where I need to be. I got mine late last season & I've shot 3 from it. Once you learn to use it & the tricks I can't see a guy not liking them.

If you can find a used Gorilla original with the smaller seat, it's amazing and much cheaper than a Lone Wolf. I had one of the cables finally give on me this year (side note, who knows where to get replacements?) but I've had it for at least a decade.

Lone Wolf or XOP, then Chippewa WedgeLoc... I like to use these stands with their short packable sticks strapped on(typically 3, on minimal occasion 4). I'm a hang-on guy.

Thanks to all of you XOP guys, I just ordered one It just what I want a sit to stand climber where the sit bar folds out of the way, its got a lifetime warranty, only weighs 20lbs, quiet, and affordable at just over 200 with shipping should be a good late season. Thanks again
