ROFL!!!!!!!!!!!
Sorry for the delay...Tom just called me at work and said I better post to this thread. :bigsmyl:
I was in a big rush to post...so here is the story:
I ordered 2 pairs of camo hunting pants from www.shesafari.com (http://www.shesafari.com) They fit perfectly like they were custom made for me. I have worn some camo men's pants and they just don't fit....I also have some ladies camo pants from Bass Pro...and from Cabelas...and I love those stores...but the pants really don't fit the way I want. The SheSafari ladies camo looks good, fits great, and you can climb a tree with them on. They are TRULY designed for the lady hunter. The waist is comfortable and sits below the natural waist line. They are VERY stylish and comfortable. I only ordered 2 pair to try....and I love them.
They will send the pants to you unhemmed or you can wait a week longer and they will hem them for you. I hemmed mine...but will have them hem them in the future. I am really excited...about my new camo...and now I want...the blouses...and some more pants maybe some other items.
Btw............
I recently ordered Tom some new Camo from http://www.outfittertuff.com/ and would love to have some camo in that pattern. I have emailed them a few times discussing the wants and needs of the lady hunters. I encourage all women to do the same if they like the pattern. They did not say no....they did say they are considering testing the ladies market next year. Both guys and gals that love treebark camo need to drop them a line that we need the archers hat back! For now.......I bought Tom a low profile baseball treebark hat that he will alter to make it have an archers bill.
Oh boy.....I just looked at the website....I can see it now....Shesafari is going to get 12,000 requests for a catalog.
I think the best was the lady hunting with the flashing gold earings, very stealth.
Brian and Pam at She Safari sent my wife a ton of clothes prior to our African hunt. They are by far the nicest women's hunting clothes I have ever seen, and she looks pretty awesome in them.
Ladies, if you are looking for cool hunting clothes that don't make you look like a man, definitely give them a try.
"Topic: Attention all Lady Hunters"
Well, that shut me out, but I clicked on it anyway. Chuck, every time I see stuff like that I just cringe. Hearing the stories of "I was reading a book, but got bored and was repainting my nails when this BIG deer-thingie came in and I shot him!" is what turns me off from female-oriented hunting stuff. I like looking like a man out there, it probably saves me a bit of unwanted attention. I am getting old enough that it is less likely, anyway! :D
I have also dealt with clothing that didn't quite fit, too. Nothing wrong with designing some pants for wider hips, or jackets that don't ride up off of the hips to bunch up around your waist while your butt freezes. My biggest woe is footwear. Ever notice that the men's boots at Cabelas usually start at size 8? It has taken me twenty years to amass a collection of boots that both fit, and cover the gamut of conditions faced in a season the ranges from the mid seventies to fifteen below zero, dry trails to snow-covered rocky hillsides. I don't wanna see the serious boots all be too big, while they push some froofy poofy cutesy thing on me to wear. I have run into longjohns like that too, women's didn't come in "expedition weight".
Hmm. Now you all know how to punch my buttons. :saywhat:
Killdeer :archer:
:saywhat: Killie,I can't believe you don't draw attention. :saywhat: :bigsmyl:
BIG deer-thingie ,,,that about threw me out my chair I laughed so hard :biglaugh:
Illy you ain't never got to worry about being considered a girly-girl in our books.... The braided armpit hair kinda knocks ya out fast....
Tommy....you say the nicest things!
:knothead:
My wife wears my old hand-me-downs, that's one of my old camo shirts she's wearing (note the baggy rolled up sleeves)
This is a very frugal lady that would rather buy her hunting clothes at the Good Will store than from a Sporting Goods store or catalog. I've tried to buy her good stuff but she'll just say..."I don't need it" :banghead: ..

Thanks for the link CG!
While the rest of you have gone broadhead for fall and I'm still fiddling with field points, I still plan to give them a try.
I need camo pants that fit and still allow for movement for my fly fishing expeditions.
I'm still amazed that their size selection doesn't stop at 12.
Me too, Martha! They go way smaller than that!

You wrap her in a hug, tell her you're the luckiest man alive, and thank God for the gift. I envy you guys.

Well, Gals n' Guys, I checked out the link and ... pretty stylish looking clothes. I was thinking about ordering my wife some, though she doesn't hunt, or even shoot - just for (fantasy) appearances. Then I woke back up and realized she woulddn't wear them anyway - probably just have me committed ......... again! :goldtooth:
All kidding aside, the duds look very professional and sturdy, as well as stylish, and I wish them well.
I ain't gonna commint, just glad Dina found some huntin duds that fit good, now Tom can rest a bit. :bigsmyl:
Ah Dano; a wise man speaks !!
Doctorbrady,
I have to agree with you when you say,
QuoteLadies, if you are looking for cool hunting clothes that don't make you look like a man, definitely give them a try.
My wife, nor I want her to look like a man....whether she's hunting or not. BTW - nice photo of your wife, very stylish and I know you're proud of her.
