Has anyone continued thier bow hush around the string loop and back down the string instead of just staying below the loops? I assume it would thicken the loop but my string grooves are big enough to compensate the added thickness.
I am going to try a FF string on an old recurve and wondered if the bow hush on the loops would help "pad" more than just the normal padded loops and give me some extra insurance.
I hope this question makes sense...lol.
Bow Hush is Awesome I have it on all my bows where the string wraps touch the limbs.. I haven't tried what you described but curious how it will work for you, as long as the loop still sits in the grooves (maybe widen them with a rat tail file) its plenty fine and i'm sure even more quieter.
I have always done it that way and found it works much better and have had no problems with string grooves.Kip
hmmm good to know I will try it myself next change
It really serves no purpose or accomplishes anything to go around the loops I experimented with that in the beginning and had no value

I think a more important question here is whether an "old" recurve can handle fast flight.
