We had a break in the rain this evening so I decided to take advantage. During my walk in, I pushed out a couple of fawns. I watched them move off up the ridge so I eased on to my stand and put up my trail camera then climbed up for the evening set. About an hour had passed and I caught movement up the ridge form me. I got my bow and prepared for the opportunity. I watched as 3 large does and a fawn moved in my direction. They worked their way down wind then around in front of my tree. when one of the big does gave me the shot, I drew my centaur longbow to anchor and watched as the arrow struck her high behind the shoulder. She fell to the ground and I quickly put another arrow in her. This is my second deer this season with my new bow. I'm shoot 400 easton axis aroows with 200 grain abowyer broadheads.
