I know a lot of you are way ahead of me on the use of these phones but I'm just starting to get use to this machine. I think it's pretty neat to be sitting here in my blind hunting and be able to access TG. Who said you can't teach an old dog new tricks. :bigsmyl:
I'm an old dog too! I really like accessing TG from my stand.
Not only that, it also doubles as a telephone!
:clapper: :clapper: :clapper:
It's nice to be able to text your buddy, or play a game to pass the time when nothing is happening too!
Bisch
Now that's great!!!
Idk, Ron... My stupid phone's smarter than I am!!! :banghead:
My phone is still on the wall in the kitchen :dunno: :dunno:

Just be mindful of your data usage and your phone plan or that could be some real expensive entertainment Ron.... Every time you load a new page, especially with photos, your data meter is running....
I use the Kindle app on mine and download books at home via WiFi and read a lot when sitting on a stand.
I also started using a GPS tracker app on mine too, and that is pretty cool..... but it uses a lot of battery. I finally picked up an extra battery for my phone that i can charge in my rig at night, and have a spare in my pack.
Data? what's that  ... :bigsmyl:
I remember some years ago, Gene Wendel ask me how to post pictures. After I explained to him how to do it he ask, " right click? What's that?"

I use it for that about twice a year.
From one seasoned bow hunter to another, I too, drug my feet into the world of smart phones. Just the name for them was a bit repelling. Kind like they were elitists among phones. But as I sit in our woodsy cabin my voice directs the words upon the screen...and this smarty phone is sending by Bluetooth (which doesn't sound very healthy at all) to a speaker playing music of our choosing. On and on it goes.
Data? Kind like "data fancy phone you got there"....?

Data funny one right dere
The only problem I have with accessing TG on my phone is that I can't see it without my glasses, but I can't shoot my bow worth a hoot with glasses. :banghead:
Works okay in my blind though so I can just take my glasses off and lay them down. Don't really want to risk dropping them out of a tree stand.
Trad gang in the tree is one of the most important parts of the set !
Smart phones give new meaning to the old phrase of "getting caught with your pants down"
Don't ask me how I know. :banghead: :banghead:

There was a tread on here about sending your hunting location to whoever so they know where you are hunting. On my Iphone simply go to Maps and text to the wife. Could really help if you ever have problems and people need to know where you are...
So much to learn and so little time
Bish, playing games while you wait for a animal to show, I thought only teenie-boppers did that.

I can't believe I made that mistake! And you are right; that probably upset the force pretty good.

I only have one game on my phone. It is called Unblock Me, and it is a puzzle game where you have to move one piece across the board through a lot of other pieces that are blocking the way. It helps keep my mind fresh, and kepps me from thinking about how hot or cold it is, or why there is nothing showing itself on that particular day!

Im lucky, with sprint i have unlimated data!!!

Seriously bro.... Different phone plans have different amounts of data you are allowed to down load to your phone each month. If you have a small data usage and run over the amount, they'll send you a hell of a bill for it.
There are settings that will warn you when your data is getting close to maxed out. and i think you can set it to where once you've reached your limit, it wont connect to the web any more.
Figured I would see Hillary Clinton packin a side arm before seeing Ron LaClair with a smart phone :dunno: Go ahead buddy old dogs gotta have fun too!
WOW all I think about is putting my cell phone up on my block target and shooting it!!!
I HATE PHONES! but need it the business and my kids gotta have one these days :archer2:
Data + Time = $$$$ for the phone company. Better up your minutes.
