Has anybody else ever gotten a bottle of Goat Tuff that won't cure out no matter how long the wait time? This is a .5 oz bottle of the premium glue that seems worthless. Goat Tuff has long been my preferred adhesive for fletching arrows but this bottle just won't cure. Very frustrating!
The last bottle I bought was the same way, so I went back to fletch tape for feathers. I hope that doesn't mean they changed their formula for the worse.
Don't know why that doubled up on me.
Yes, my last bottle was bad also. I don't know if it is available anymore? When it was good I put inserts in with it and glued steel broadhead adapters to the broadheads. It really worked well. Inserts and broad heads never came loose.
I also had a bottle that was bad a year or so ago. I have since switched to Loctite ultra gel with great results and the best part is you can get it almost anywhere, Home Depot, Lowes etc.
Yep. Shelf life is not long.
I now use smaller bottles of Bohning Blazer Bond which works well with the goattuff accelerator spray. The quill adsorbs just a bit of the glue before fully cured in a matter of seconds. I can fletch an arrow and shoot it within three minutes. Bohning is only 30miles away so I get the fresh stuff.
Yes, it has happened to me. I bought my last bottle from Nocking Point and he sent me another that worked fine. For fletching I started using fletch tape and for gluing inserts/broadhead adapters I started using Gorilla super glue.

Well, I ordered a bottle of "Instant Arrow Glue" from Footed Shaft, a sponsor here on Trad Gang. The product is from a company out of Illinois called Pine Ridge Archery. It works great, adhering in less than 10 seconds. That watered down oily mess in the Goat Tuff bottle went into the trash.
Instant arrow glue sounds like a good deal. I will have to try some.
