Over the course of 40 plus years i have owned many types of hunting garments. Two years ago i purchased a set of scent blocker matrix , at first i thought it was pretty good medium weight gear with one huge flaw the dam pockets easy enough to open at times sort of but impossible to close with out using two hands and sometimes that is not enough. I wrote to them explaining this short fall as I hate to loose things in the field due to pockets that are impossible to zip up. Any one else experience this dilemma ? lLooking at sitka fanatic any one purchase this product pretty pricey though !
Sitka Gear pants and bibs have a lot of well-designed pockets, some with zippers, some with snap closures, and some that are open. I don't have any problems with stuff falling out of my pockets when wearing Sitka Gear stuff. Expensive, yes...but very well designed and the stuff holds up well. Sitka Gear can usually be purchased with a nice discount (25-30%) around the start of the new year as stores try to sell out their inventory.
I try to avoid zippers if I can, if not I get the best zipper I can get. I've switched them out before. I prefer buttons. Less chance of them icing up or getting stuck.
I drank the Koolaide and bought into the Primos archery vest... really like having things where I can get to them without rooting around or fussing and being a vest, it stays vertical mostly, has that elastic gathering at the back to pull loose clothing closer...
I know what is in every pocket, in easy reach and minimum of movement.
I had some camo that had those type "leaky" pockets that stuff fell out... It's been relegated to Spring Turkey only... where my vest has most of the stuff.
I do think my Scentblocker pants have that issue...not serious enough though for me to negate their good features

Had a set of scent blocker Road Trip series wore, them for 7'yrs. till, they practically disintegrated. I wanted Sitka or,even predator camo this yr. but momey became an issue with my daughter needing duds to get into the sport. I found some scent blocker Protec jacket and pants at Dunhams sports on clearance for $63 for jacket and $63 for pants. There OK I already have a hole in the hand warmer pocket. I'm not really impressed with a lot of the clothing out there. Quality just isn't there. I tried a Sitka Celsius jacket on in Cabelas this summer I liked it a lot but they make no Celsius pants or bibs. The price was a little steep. I would just like to find some good quality with less gimmicky features.
I still have a scentblocker plus leafey lite suit that was bought I think in 98,, it wasted and all full of holes but I love it for when I need leafy stuff on,,, a lot of the leafy suits I've found have a scratchy poly sound to the fabric when you move but this one is as quiet as wool its so broken in,, an old.
