I started out this season with high anticipation. I had some set some goals for myself. Everything was going well then my job kind of took over. I had to rethink things a little knowing I probably won't get to hunt as much as I wanted to. I also wanted to test out the Simmons Treesharks. I set myself up with a 47# bow that I made and beeman mfx 400 arrows. I had made up my mind I would take the first good shot that I was offered. The first opportunity came on October 4 it was only my second set in the stand and third of the year.

It didn't take very long to find him.

After I filled my only buck tag for the year I turned my attention toward something smaller. It took a couple times out but I was able to call in a group of 20 or so she got to me first for about an 18yrd shot.

Congratulations-Hopefully you can still hunt something-Hap
Now all I had was a doe tag. When this deer started my way I hesitated a bit. I knew it might be the end to my season and didn't want that. I made up my mind only to shoot if she got to a certain point. When she got there she stopped broadside looked away from me. It was just to good and for the third time the shark was off.

She made a quick dash and tipped over in about 25yds.
To say that I'm impressed with the Treesharks would be an understatement. If you haven't shot them you should try one. All in all I had an awesome season hope everyone else's is just as good.

Thanks everyone. Had some tenderloin today it was pretty darn good. The turkey I smoked and we had a small thanksgiving last weekend. Definitely some fine eating.
Danialb89 I did get pass throughs. The arrow stuck in the ground with the doe. The buck carried it about ten yards by the nock end and then fell out the opposite side. I will probably be putting a pack of them on my Christmas list this year. :D
Well done!!!
Great job!
Congrats on your season.
