Hello all i was wondering if i could get your opinion on the VPA Penetrator 125 Vented. Would you guys have any concerns about them, i would be shooting them from my 66lb @30in recurve with aluminum arrows and 5.5inch feathers. The Heads are roughly 2inches long (1.9 inches) x 1-1/8 cutting dia. I don't have my hunting license yet so i will only be shooting hog and coyote this fall and winter. Im aware that hogs are tough customers and was wondering if These shorter heads would bring up any major issues. All opinions over this setup or other 125gr broadhead suggestions are welcome.
Thank You
I doubt you will come up with a better 125 grain broadhead...always wonder why people are committed to only one weight of head though...I shoot 175, 200 and 250 grain Penetrators depending on the bow and arrow setup

With 66 pounds and a heavy arrow like that, I don't think you'll have any issues. heck, you could probably shoot an expendable just fine. you're looking at somewhere between 45 and 50 foot pounds which is plenty!
Yep - should be no problem for you to shoot those. Post pics when you get critters.

With that set up, I don't see any concerns at all. In fact, you could use their 3 blade if you wanted to.
Thanks Guys that just gave me all the confidence i needed to go through with this! I will definitely post pics of my First hog with it. Where getting drenched right now here in east Texas after a few months of no rain, so the hogs are gonna be out in force these next few weeks. As soon as i stops pouring ill have some corn waiting.
THANKS
