Finally got home from work. Headed out and checked some cameras. I have a few really nice bucks on cam. I setup hoping one would come in but this big boar showed up first. He had a death wish apparently because he came in from down wind crossed my trail I walked in on and ended up right under me.

Nice! Good job!
self video is tough....good kill.
Very cool.. Nice job..
Weeding out the big and dumb ones from the gene pool!
That Palmer/Stinger combo is tougher than most think ...... or does it just proves a well placed shot trumps K.E.
Great video! how much penetration did you get on that pig. I have never shot one at that angle.
Gabe
Congrats. Well done.
That was a great job getting that on video. Congrats. I am current using a Toelke LB 47#28 with Stingers.
Very cool to get that on screen. Congrats!
You are the man , Congrats sir....

Bacon on the ground! Nice shot.
Would like to hunt those some day.
Great job, Corey! Great planning. You put that arrow where he couldn't break it off, no matter how hard he tried, lol. Another great kill.

I' didn't weigh him Todd. I was hunting solo and I was way back in the bottoms so I deboned him after dragging him about 100 yards away from my stand. He was over 200!
Coming out with the backpack full of meat I thought I was elk hunting again lol
Here's a slomotion clip Mr Rick ****** made for us.
Thanks

He sure looked over 200!! He was long framed. Great harvest man! Packing meat without the uphill/downhill effect is a little better but heavy is heavy no matter where.
Congrats again! :clapper:
awesome video!
Nice hunt ! I know its tough filming alone !
Great!!
Great shot, having cleaned him can you say what exactly you hit in the shot? They're built like tanks and it seems the penetration was about what you could expect. Their vitals are so low in the chest cavity I'm surprised if it made it all the way down there. Did you get into the lungs or a major artery of some sort?
Again, great shot and good camera work.

Let me tell you the mosquitos were tearing me up! I did the gutless method as fast as I could. I had about 7" of penetration on my arrow. I likely cut an artery along the spine but I also think I got some lung as well.
Thank gang
For as fast as he went down I'll bet you hit the aortic artery. I've hit that myself with the same reaction. Nice boar for sure!
BasinBoy, I hear you on the gutless method, which is what I typically do on hogs. Backstrap, hams, and shoulders! It never ceases to amaze me how hard it is to get penetration on a pig. I was interested to see a shot from above where you wouldn't actually be going through the shield. Good work.
Good job Corey _ you have had a great year _ keep it up
That's some good stuff there. Good shot.
Nice work! I dont have expereince shooting from stands. It always looks tricky shooting down at that angle. Nice shot placement. Nice videogrophy. Congrats!
Good job!Great video!
Ernie
