Title: Harvest #3 - 2015
Post by: ThePushArchery on October 20, 2015, 10:04:00 AM
Had a great hunt last night. Waited all season for a South wind to hunt the edge of standing corn. Finally got that wind and 3 doe followed the script.

Shot this one at 10 yards and watched him (ended up being a button buck) go down 45 yards away. My 6 year old did a great job tracking him an hour later. Helps that the VPA put quite a blood trail down!

Couple tags left. Great season so far!

Love the paint job on the bow. Very old school, kind of like what we did in the 60s and 70s. Brings back good memories.

Congrats!  Nice work.  Judging by your shirt, looks like you're from Butler area?  Pretty close to where I'm at also.  Good luck filling the last couple of tags, but maybe slow down a little.  Still plenty of season left.

I live in Cranberry and do most of my hunting in 2B, so I know what you mean.  I wouldn't slow down either.  Just save a few for me.  I'm still working on my first for the year.

Eric / Butchie, I work down here in Cranberry at MSA behind the Marriott.

Where abouts do you guys hunt down here?

I have a few properties south of 228 that provide some nice early and late season hunts.
