what are the benefits of each and cons of each?
For me the hard finger glove gives me a cleaner release....now I don't like it so hard that I can't feel the string....I had a very thin glove and it just caused all kinds of release problems for ME.
yeh I have a few gloves. one is hard and I can't feel the string the other ones are soft Damascus type gloves...can't really decide which one I like the most, my shooting doesn't really seem to be affected either way
I'm always switching back and forth between a heavy and thin glove. I've come to the conclusion for me, if I am shooting a lot of arrows like in a tournament, I shoot better with the thin glove but for an occasional shot like while hunting, I get a better release with the hard finger glove.
that is good to know...I will see what I can come up with. why do think it gives a cleaner release?
VA, the string doesn't dig into the fingers as deep with a heavy finger glove especially if the stalls have inserts in them so the string slips off the fingers easier but with a thinner glove, I have a little better controls of the shot and I feel I'm slightly more accurate overall. Like I say, I'm always switching back and forth. It seems there are plusses and minuses to just about everything in archery and I just haven't figured out which type of glove is best for me yet.
