Nope, didn't pull the string even. But I had around fifteen deer within twenty yards, give or take. Gotta like that. Especially after the last couple of years- it's been kind of slow around here.
The last two were 4X4's. I waited for a shot on the bigger one, but he did not cooperate.
Beautiful fall day in the 60's. Located a couple of scrapes, but not under my wick.
15 deer!?!? Wow, I might see that many in a whole season here in the UP. I remember seeing that many deer in one sit when in was a kid, not all that long ago. Sure was fun. Glad you had a cool hunt. Keep after it those big boys will make a slip eventually.
Every day in the woods is a good day , good luck with that buck....

Yes, it was a good day in Georgia, too. The fall woods are pretty and that special smell of the woods is great. I didn't have the deer activity that you had, but several did come in from the wrong direction, so I got busted pretty quick. One small doe gave me a shot opportunity, but I passed on it. Just being in the woods makes for a great day.
It was. I got busted by a curious lil doe. But hunting the ground, that happens frequently. Had chipmunks almost on me, skwerls all over, geese overhead for the last hour. I was thankful for the hunt.
