I posted recently about my brand new Martin Hunter with much lower than indicated draw weight.
Today, at full draw, it exploded in my face. Bottom limb delaminated. I smell a melon.
Wow that's a bummer. Yup read your post. I'd send that sucker back!!!!
Yeah that can be scary! Martin will stand behind what they make.
Sorry to hear...let us know how martin takes care of you.
One reason the measured draw weight could be less than the indicated weight would be if the limbs had already started to delaminate. One time I bought a bow, and when I got it home, I noticed that it seemed much easier to draw than it did when I test fired it before I bought it. The reason was that the top lamination was beginning to crack. I noticed it before it blew up, because I could see the crack beginning to form. The bowyer made good on it, but it's a strange, unsettling experience to go through.

This is where you get to find out if buying it from amazon.com was a good idea eh

I hate it when bows break! I have had a couple do that, and it sucks every time! If it is brand new, they will stand behind it.

Martin is very good with customer service.
I once had an expensive custom bow explode while stringing it with an appropriate stringer. Pieces of the bow bounced off the ceiling. Pretty exciting to say the least!
I've had two break...scary stuff
Martin or Damon Howatt? Anything made in 2015 should say Damon Howatt and should not even have the Martin name on it.
