I just bought one , should have it on Friday. Give me your thoughts good and bad. Thanks,
Big Ed
I have a Stalker longbow. It was "Hope" for the St Judes auction. It had spome serious mojo. I shot 5 critters with it the month I ad it when it was a passaround bow. I did not buy it in the auction, but came across it a while later. I really like it.
South builds really fine bows!!!!
Bisch
The best grip I have ever felt on a bow. The longbow limbs are smooth fast and pretty quite. Of all the bows I have sold over the last couple of years that is the one I truly regret selling.
I'm not sure about his bows (wish I knew), but he also makes a heck of a hunting video!
Awesome bows sold one because it was much too heavy but I will own another. It shot great just tough on long shooting sessions at the weight I had. The grip might be the best I've felt and the finish was perfect. It was also easy to tune.
I have the Static Recurve Coyote, I know that doesn't answer your question but the riser is the same and it's pretty good. Grip is positive and the riser is narrow. I think you may like it if the weight is in your range.
Absolutely love mine!
Great grip, draw, speed, manners...has everything you look for in a bow.
Great to hear Big Ed!
I dug up a few old photos for you. I was fortunate enough to test drive one of the first prototypes. It was a good bow back then, I can only imagine what it's like now with all the subtle improvements over the years.
Keep us posted!

The riser profile looks really nice. I bet they are good shooters.
If they're anything like my Wolverine FXT recurve, they are. South makes one of the best bows out there, recurve or longbow.
I can say enough about my Coyote. One of the best bows I own right now. I was in love with the grip right off the bat. And the bow really liked the stiffer arrows i had to play with.
Was very easy to set up and tune brace was a little higher 7 3/4 Strong bow was dead quite and does the lob.
Used last Saturday

South did an amazing job on this bow
Have another one of his in the works now

Ed. I held one at Denton Hill 2 years ago. I still do not forget how well my hand fit that grip. Not sure how your big paws will like it, but it was perfect for me.

Like Bisch i had the pleasure of shooting the St Judes " Hope" pass around bow a few years back. Great shooter and I loved the grip. I think you will be pleased and that was a great deal you got in the classifieds on that bow !!
I love the grip and riser. I picked up a used static tip and it's by far the best shooting bow I've owned. I was planing on getting longbow limbs for it but it's super quiet as is.... I can't even imagine how quiet the longbow would be
Thank fellas keep it coming!!
Again this is with static tips but it shoots fast and flat. This is 30 yards 52@28 with a 590 grain arrow.

Big Ed what do you think, about the bow, now that you have had it for a little more that a month?
:campfire: :coffee:

I absolutely love it and soon will have two of them. Very quiet stable and efficient.
I plan to order a new one after the new year. South Cox is top notch on all accounts.
They aren't hard to look at either!!
Not for sale Matty, find your own!! If you want to test drive one of mine let me know. Rental fees will be affordable.
:biglaugh:
A www you're a sweet heart. I've had 2 can't remember why I sold them. Probably because I thought I had too many bows. Which is probably the truth. I'll have south make me one some day.
I have a Wolverine FXT and have to say that it is the best shooting bow that I have owned and I've had just about all of them over the years.
I have the SL model in green actionwood.Looks great ,shoots great. Ditto on the grip. Fits my hand like a glove as the saying goes.
South is a master bowyer for sure.
I have another set of Longbow limbs being built right now. Can't wait to get them and hopefully fill some more tags.
