Post by: Possum Head on October 05, 2015, 08:26:00 PM
Bought the 75 gr. adapters with these 110 gr. Eskalite heads and they dont seat all the way. What mistake have I made?

Um, are the 110s a 5/16" head? My Deltas seat all the way in.

One sticker on the pack's front says 11/32 and the other sticker on the back says 5/16. Guess I'll let it ride just need to know how to order correctly next time. They spin well and should still hold up. On the back of the pack it says x large adapt. for 11/ 32 and long for 5/16. I simply chose from the drop down menu when ordering and it only distinguished in grains. The sales rep. asked no questions so I thought all was well.

Went back and checked the site and the aluminum adapters mention short and long as well as the weight. The steel ones only specify weight. I really didnt want aluminum.

The Eskilites are 5/16 and the steel adapters are 11/32

bluemelonchitlin, makes sense but are 5/16 steel adapters available anywhere? If so where? I just looked at 3 rivers and 11/32 is all they have as well.

I don't know if steel are available in 5/16 but if aluminium is available and the finish weight works for you in 5/16 I would not worry about it being aluminum.

They may look a little funny, PH, but they will work just fine.  I would think the steel would be worth it for the strength and weight.

Might try Eskimos rather than Eskalites next time.  Same shape, but a little bigger and heavier; 11/32 ferrule, too.

We have 100 grain 5/16" steel adapters in stock.  As far as I know we are the only ones that have them.

You will find them here:

Link - Points and More at Braveheart Archery (http://www.braveheartarchery.us/points_and_more.htm)

You have to be careful we have a ton of adapters, the 100 grain 5/16" are under the Deluxe Zinc Coated adapters the last cart button item number is A-DS516 to get the 100 grain 5/16" steel adapters.

We also stock the "Sweetland" Zwickey made aluminum adapters that are extra long and fit the Zwickey heads so well.  The 5/16" 30 grain aluminum and the 11/32" 36 grain.

Hope this helps, Tim at Braveheart
