I'm too depressed to even talk about it. Pretty much a mirror of last weekend...only worse! The good news is the deer population will be up exponentially next year. The bad news is the bow kill will be down and the NCWRC will use it as an excuse to give another of our weeks to gun hunters!
Yep, I'm about tired of rain!
Virginia is a bit soggy also. 10 years ago I probably would have given it a go no matter what the weather provided, but obviously I'm older, and I think wiser. The forecast calls for the soaking rain to stop, and just showers this afternoon. Hopefully the deer will think like me and move a bit before dark
Columbia is a washout and rivers are flooding
Pretty wet here on the coast in Myrtle Beach, maybe next weekend with the swamps full of water will help.
Yes, and since a bunch of my parts are now "aftermarket" I don't swim as well as I used to either!
I'm sitting in my house right now looking out the window like a little boy that can't go out and play,,, very windy and a light rain.
Aw c'mon, Richard, you likely can swim as well, just not FLOAT as well with the extra weight... :)
It was just as wet OFF the coast in Central TN... went to hunt with a friend with hopes of part of each day helping frame a new building for his bride's biz...alas, we got in a few hours on Thurs AM for hunting, I saw one wee tiny deer with long main beams but no shot and too small... I mean TINY!
Friday AM was short lived ---shorter then Thurs with rain moving in quickly mid AM... We got wet and cold both days, now I HAVE a wet nose (Might be sign of good health on a dog, not me) and a chest full of yuk!
We didn't intend to HUNT in the rain, but got caught in it both days and worked Thursday afternoon, a wee bit, between showers but didn't get a lot of wall framing done. Drat!!!
Good time. Great visit, but one can't control the weather...
