How is the deer season going in the nutmeg state?

To start off I've been experiencing a bumper crop of acorns. The deer have been moving at strange times of the day. I haven't been able to get any in bow range since opening day,

Hopefully after the moon phase changes and this storm blows through things will get better.

I've been seeing deer almost every time out, a few in range. Missed a doe last Monday 3x. Acorns like crazy. Only two spikes seen so far, the rest does and fawns.

x3 on the acorns.

I have seen many deer and am optimistic.

I passed on a shot based on the landowners requests. But I have seen so many deer and so much sign that it looks good.  I just want to get one before firearms season opens because that changes everything

Acorns are making it a little harder to pin point the deer in my area the deer just don't need to move around and look for them. Heading out now for a little afternoon hunt. Maybe they will come in to 20 or under for me this time.

Here she is still on a high cant wait to get back out there in the stand again

she dressed 98 lbs good deer the biggest in the group of 4 that came in

Used my Stalker Coyote 55 pound longbow with a 2219 Easton Legacy with a 250 grain Abowyer Brown Bear. Was perfect quartering away shot and had broadhead go through the opposite shoulder. Not a pass through but a i felt a great shot. It got it done!
She was about 15 to 20 yards out when I shot her but the first shot was at about 10 yards and I went right over her back. Funny thing is she never moved or ran or flinched from the fisrt shot HAHAHA
A great day ion the woods
