Well the Ohio opener was Sat.
First time Ive never been out for the opener.
Trying to work out some shooting bugs and arrow flight first.
I recently switched arrows and didnt have any broadheads available.
So as soon as the ones I ordered arrive, and I can get the flight worked out, I hope to be out.
Only thing Ive been seeing behind the house has been two does and two fawns.
I normally get some bucks on camera , but its normally closer to Oct 30th
Here in nj we have an early season but you need to harvest a doe first.I decided to wait till this weekend,I can then shoot a buck.
IA not even open till Thursday.
Ours opens this Thurs. Haven't seen a lot of anything yet, but there are some monsters taken by kids in the early youth gun hunt.
Mich. starts Thur. Will be out in the woods.
ours opens oct 3. however, we are looking at 5" of rain that day. I won't be out in that. if it doesn't rain like that I will be
NC opend September 12. And I haven't had an opportunity to go yet. I would love to be in the woods, just have so much I need to take care of first. The weather has been in the 60-70's so it doesn't hurt to bad. Hopefully soon.

2 more weeks!!
Indiana opener is Thursday, the 1st!
I haven't had a chance yet. Work has been wearing me out the last couple of weeks, hopefully should let up a little come November.
October 15th here
I haven't made it out yet, working 12-16hrs every day with no end in sight. If nothing else I am burning a week of vacation first of November.
Going Thurs. morning or evening whichever one I can get out for.
Our deer season does not start till this Sat (10/3). I'll be out there then though!
Good luck to you!

Opens state wide in PA this Saturday (10/3). It can't come soon enough, but the weather forecast is for a 100% chance of rain :(
Thursday in OK. With a cool front on the way....
10/1 here
10/3 here. Gonna miss this season though. Still trying to get good with my bow and I'm still having trouble walking. Hopefully I can be ready for next year.
Like Bisch said...Saturday for me also. I will be out there.
Yeah .. Thursday is our opening day here in Ontario.. so I'll be heading up friday night after work!! All my broadheads are sharpened and I've been shooting 3 or more times a week for the past 3 or 4 months.. I'm absolutely ready ! Although it's an absolute blessing to get a shot on a deer where I hunt.. there aren't nearly as many as alot of you guys have down in the states. These northern Canada deer are few and far between.. and the ones that are in between those are very skiddish!
Lower portion if NY opens Thursday..I hope to be out on Saturday
That's why I love hogs! Hunt em whenever I feel like it! Been a slow summer for me this year tho with work. Only been out a couple times. Did have a sow with about 8-10 babies at 20 yrds tonight while I was hunting on the ground. Unfortunately no shot! But I did get some video!
Illinois opens on October 1.
Well Missouri opens on Sep 15 and I usually wait until Oct. to hit the woods. We have until Jan. 15 to hunt except 10 days in rifle season and then I buy a rifle tag. I do not like hunting warm weather.
Soon... Soon
We opened 9/15 but it's been too crazy hot and I'm too busy. This changes tomorrow afternoon... I will bowhunt tomorrow!
Yep, calling for a rainy opener in PA on Saturday. I see an early dismissal at work on Monday to make up for it
I moved to Raleigh NC from Chattanooga TN for some seasonal work with the wildlife commission (aquatic wildlife) and I'm not going to get to hunt until November. NC season started on 9/12 and Tennessee started on 9/26. Can't afford to hunt here because of being a non resident and I can't afford to drive back home to hunt so I'm just waiting until the job is done.
Open this thursday, got a leftover tag for white doe only. Hunting from the ground along the creek bed
shooting 45 pound minute man, cedar arrows, 125 grain broad head.
I have been seeing a lot of activity in the creek, hoping for a productive opening day!
I got out Monday afternoon for the first time. I set up a new ladder stand and thought I would try a Wick - never used one before.
I still had almost four hours so I found a decent place next to a river bottom to post at. Temp was so nice I didn't even take my jacket. Big mistake. With about two hours left I was shaking uncontrollably. All I had with me was a poncho, so I wrapped that around me.
About twenty minutes later a doe and fawn went by at about twenty feet. By the time I was ready to shoot they were already by me. I got rid of the poncho before another doe and two fawns came by at the same distance, but no bucks.
I haven't, but I moved to Nevada, so I probably won't anytime soon.
me as i am to busy doing honey do this honey do that LOL!!! :biglaugh:
Our opener is Sat but I'll be working but with Sunday hunting now an option on private land I'll go out then. Good luck to all and have a safe productive season.

waiting for thursday....
This is the first time in a while I'll be out opening day. Ours starts tomorrow and I've taken the 1st and 2nd off. I'll let you all know how it goes.
Me. But I've got 4 consecutive weeks off coming Oct 15th and small game doesn't come until the 17th. No hurry.
We have been open for a month, but I have been so busy with work and family that I haven't been out. I have also been getting my daughter ready for her first hunt. However, I am planning on getting after them with a week or so.
Today is the last of our early archery deer season and I missed the early elk also. I had to put in driveway additions and other family requirements. I may still make the late season around thanksgiving.

I haven't been in the woods with my bow but a couple years ago I made a promise. I promised my Brittany that I would only bird hunt in October. Our bow season opened today. I'll try to get him out tonight after work. It gets better here around Halloween.
I'm just waiting on Saturday morning! Work gets in the way sometimes...
Even though the season here in Illinois opened Thursday, haven't hunted yet as a the wind has been from the northeast which is the worst possible direction for my property.
Ours opens today. It's a rainy opener. It's not too heavy to go but id rather wait and finish prepping for a nicer day later in the week. I don't want to use all my passes from the warden in the first week anyway! Besides, it seems like every time I've gotten out in the last few seasons its been raining and I'd like to hunt without wet fletching for a change!
I picked a terrible time to wreck my knee. I just found out yesterday that the surgery will be Oct. 13. I guess I will hope for the second season after Christmas. :knothead:
Ours opened August 15th in the lower part of the state and September 15th in most of the upper part. The mountain unit opened this past Thursday.
And no I haven't had a chance to go yet, mostly due to getting ready for a wedding (my youngest daughter) which happened on September 23rd plus having to babysit my grandson (different daughter).
Going stir crazy!
Northwest Florida opens Oct 24th.
