Anybody?
what kind of sheep hunting?
We got some mouflon here in hawaii...no camping just day hunts on the weekends.
There are quite a few traditional bowhunters who have killed bighorn sheep in Colorado. Several of them more than one. But these are residents who are have a much greater chance of drawing a tag than non-residents. I moved to Colorado 30 years ago and have drawn 3 bighorn sheep tags. I killed a ram in 2003 with my 3rd tag. On the first two tags I never go close enough to get a shot. I have been putting in for desert sheep the last 12 years with no luck in the draw. The chances are that I will never draw a desert sheep tag. I do know a couple of people who have drawn non-resident Bighorn tags, but it is extremely difficult to draw a non-resident tag. But as the saying goes, somebody has to draw these tags and you only have a chance if you put in for the draw. Good luck on your quest. Jim

Killed this ram in the North West territories back in 1989 when sheep hunting was still kinda affordable. It was a 14 day backback hunt with 2 big dogs we used to pack food/meat. Spent 18hrs. in a small 2 man tent waiting out a wind and rain storm that I thought was going to blow us of the mountain. A 25 yard shot and short blood trail made me one happy bowhunter. I just wish I was still that skinny.
