I wasn't expecting it so soon.....but the bear I shot on Bear Quest #9 came home to me today in rug form. Got a call that it was done along with the boiled skull. KAT will post a photo shortly. I was pleased the way it came out, it will be a real conversation piece in the future.
Congrats! Nothing like a new trophy for the wall. My wife says I don't need anymore but I have to disagree.
A bear is on my bucket list congrats can't wait to see the pics

Very nice Ron !
Congratulations Ron, that is a fine looking conversation piece.
Very nice. I like that the mouth is closed and the ruffled edges of the rug give it a very unique look.

That looks great Ron! I'm glad you had a successful hunt last spring. Good luck with your rehab this fall! I know you want to spend time in the deer woods!

I had to talk the taxidermist into having the mouth closed. He said everyone always wants it open to look fierce. I told him I want the bear to look like he did just before I shot him.
Congrats Ron! Very nice bear!
Very nice sir , looks great...

Nice Ron!
Looks Great Ron!
Looks great.
Ron, I went thru the same with mine. I don't want fierce, I want to look at it and enjoy it for years to come.

Nice Bear Ron! What were you using for a bow and arrow combo on the hunt?
Hey Rod, I used a Zipper ILF with Dryad Static recurve limbs @ 45#. Carbon Express weight forward arrow with a ACE standard head.....total arrow 600 gr. Complete pass through at a distance of 7 steps. Very exciting when your that close.....
Wow, I'm really jealous. I really love fur rugs!
Looks good Ron! It took a little over a year for me to get mine back (not from same hunt or taxidermist)!

Ron, you did good with the rug. Congratulations. It's also a good reminder of being in BearQuest camp with the Bowdoc.

Awesome rug Ron, got one just like it with a brown suede leather back. Really nice!
Great looking rug Ron,..I also prefer the mouth closed,to me it is more natural.
congrats! That's a beautiful trophy to remind you of your hunt!
Real nice Ron, congrats again!
Very nice, congratulations.
Very nice Ron. Hope you get out some.
Very nice Ron. Im still waiting on mine from Bear Quest 8.
I was at a craft show today and got a good idea. People are using old snowshoes to decorate. I'm going to mount my boiled out bear skull on an old snowshoe to hang on the wall......may come out nice.
Ron very nice congratulations.
Very nice looking rug,Ron!
Good job Ron. Congrats.

Neat idea Ron.
Ron, how long will the little lady let you keep it on the table? Looks very nice...
:biglaugh: Not to long, the bad part is right now I don't have a wall big enough to hang it up. When I move south that will all change.
very nice bear looks natural with mouth closed my preference also
Nice Ron, I like it! Congrats again!

SWEEET!
Awesome!!! Well Done!!!
Again thanks to all for the kind words...... :notworthy:
Ron
I got the answer buy a fancy silk robe and lay on top of it on the table when she comes home

:saywhat: I don't want her to leave.......lol
now all you need is a semi naked chick draped over it, holding a glass of something fancy for you, and the man cave will be complete!!!!! Nice one. That was a great bear and story, by the way.
Holy smokes that was fast! Nice Ron!
