Title: Baseball caps...
Post by: Bowspirit on October 13, 2007, 03:04:00 PM
This one's for all of you who wash you clothes in scent elimating detergents or baking soda. Do you use that stuff on baseball caps if your going to be hunting with one? Just curious, as I do a load of camos...

Usually whatever headgear I wear is Scent Lok lined.  The hats I wear that aren't, I hand wash in scent eliminating detergent, air dry, and store with my de-scented clothing.  I spray all clothing with scent eliminator before I go out...

I'm certainly no expert at doing laundry... my wife will vouch for that  :p  .  However for reasons unknown I always handwash my hats, air dry them, and then spray with scent eliminator.

How in the heck do you wear a baseball cap and still shoot?

I wear a very short brim boonie style and wash it with the rest of my gear.

I throw mine right in with all the rest of my hunting gear. Take it out, form it the way I want and hang it on the line to dry....  I have no problem with shooting with it on, but have known many who do....
