My new Centaur came in a few days ago, and Jim did a great job with it. It is a 62" Triple Carbon, 51@29. It has a Coco bolo riser with a Dark Matter palm swell. In between the Dark Matter and the belly layer of carbon is a "thin blue line", the limbs are backed with water moccasin skins that were sent to me by GoldenHawk in 2006 after I made a self bow for his grandson..
I have named it "Sheepdog".

Some will understand the name and the "thin blue line" reference, some will remember GoldenHawk. All have meaning to me and make this bow very special.
Thanks for the work Jim!
David
oh wow... That's a beauty, congrats!
Beautiful. Now go out and kill something with it.
Oh yeah, very nice!
Beauty, great bows!
Awesome looking stick! I just shot my first Centaur a few weeks ago, and boy, was I impressed. I did not care for the grip on that one, but it shot like a dream in every other aspect!

Interesting name on the bow. I read a book by a self defense expert that said there are 3 types of humans. Sheep, wolves, and sheep dogs. Those who can't/don't defend themselves, those who prey on others, and those who are equipped in all ways to defend others. I like it. Great looking bow as you would expect from Centaur.
That's the nicest centaur I've ever see. That coco is insanely beautiful. I dig the name too.
Nice looking bow for sure. Really like the coco bolo riser. One of my favorite woods.
Congrats very nice bow,I second everything on the Cocobolo.

I have a half dark matter bow also and it adds just the right amount of weight. Your's looks better than mine if I am honest with myself. Sweet bow
great bow David
Congrats David....I know you've been after one of those for a very long time. Great choice of woods...love the skins.
Take care buddy and good luck this season! Be safe in that job of yours.. :notworthy:

Bill
Gorgeous...congrats!
That's a fine looking bow, been wanting to try one for some time. I've heard they are pretty quick but was wondering if the carbon makes a little more noise at the shot. After looking at your bow, I can see a road trip in the near future.
Beautiful.
Mike I don't think you will be disappointed if you take the drive over to Jim's.
This one likes 30.5 inch Heritage 250s with 275 up front. While I haven't weighed them yet I think that will put the arrow at just over 600 grains, just over 12 grains per pound. It is silent at the shot.
Thanks everyone for the comments, I can tell you that this one isn't going anywhere but with me into the woods.
David
I like that you used those skins. It's a beautiful bow in perfect specs but that makes it special for sure. I still have my last PM from Golden Hawk and think of him sometimes, always fondly.
God bless.
Nice looking centaur.
Jeff
