Well, I know that we talked about a new traditional shaft pattern/design in the spring but I just didn't realize how long this process takes. We have gotten very close on a pattern and now before they make some actual samples, we want to pin down the color choice.
The patterns on the color samples are not the correct pattern and are just being used purely as a color representative.
The pattern is to be a much more realistic wood grain and my current thoughts are to name them "Dark Timber" not that they have to be very dark.
The new shafts will be identical in specs to that of the current traditional shafts except that all spines will be at least 32"s long and maybe even 33" ____________________________________________
Now, if you don't mind helping, how about voting on your choice of color for the new shaft from the following options:

If those are the samples I'd go #1 Canadian oak, #2 new Roma oak, #3 office oak.
Roma
1 AP OAK
2 Office Oak

After more consideration, I changed my mind and would change my order to: 1. AP Oak, 2. Office Oak, 3. New Roma Oak
Canadian, Roma, Ap Oak.
Canadian oak looks like the current pattern on the GT Traditional shafts. I like the top three.
1.Ap Oak
2.New Roma Oak
New Roma.
1 Roma oak
2 office oak
1 Roma and 2 Office for me too.

Canadian Oak with Roma Oak in a close 2nd
AP oak

Roma Oak!
office oak for me-
New Roma or Office Oak
1) roma
2) ap
Although I like the darker colors, the lighter colors are more practical for me, most of the time (for low-light conditions and because I lose a lot of arrows). So, my first choice would be "Limed", but I like the "AP" for aesthetics.
Nice choice on the name..I'm pretty partial. Ha!
My color choice would be:
1. Roma
2. Ap
3. Office
Just saw where their not making trad .300 spine anymore...so I ordered some of your trad blems in .300 spine.
Ap Oak,New Roma
If there will be more grain color contrast in the real thing...
I'd go with the fineline oak.
If not the AP would be cool.
Office
If those are the samples I'd go #1 Canadian oak, #2 new Roma oak, #3 office oak x3!
Could also go with Lime as a 3rd option, the darker colors are nice, but could cost me some arrows...Hey wait a minute.....Big Jim is that what this is all about :readit:
Canadian oak.
everyone who votes gets a free dz shafts in the new color right?
I like the light color of Limed. I think any color crown would go very good with it.
What no beard hair camo? :biglaugh:
I guess I like the Limed then.
AP OAK
Ap oak myself....
Roma
New Roma Oak Then Canadian Oak
New Roma Oak and Canadian Oak.
1 New Roma
2 AP
3 Office Oak
Roma
Well, from the look of it, new Roma is the favored color. We'll give it a little more time...I'm kind of partial to office oak, but then I'm not bing all these new shafts for my use...I hope :)
Thanks, bigjim
Ap oak
1) AO Oak
2) Office Oak
New Roma Oak
Roma Oak!
Canadian then limed
Ap Oak or Office Oak
AP oak looks cool and different! They all look good though
How about an autumn orange wood grain
Canadian oak
AP".......
Roma 4 me.
Canadian
I like the AP Oak. I think for a second choice the lime is cool and different also.
I rank theses shafts exactly in the order they are shown. If staining shafts I would stain the first 10 inches in the Office Oak and the remainder of the shaft in Canadian Oak. Then I would use white hen feathers and a natural turkey cock feather. They will all make nice arrows.
Just for the record, I edited my original post changing my #1 to AP Oak.
AP Oak
Office Oak
New Roma Oak
in that order for me.
Limed. I know Iam in the minority but the lighter(not green though) color and the grain pattern stand out the best. Plus it stands out as "yours" don't look like the other trad shafts.
"Roma"
Canadian.
Probably too late...but I remember the Easton aluminum 'birch bark'....man were those beauts!!!
Roma
I have some of those birch bark and those are nice. Only have about 4 or 5 left.
Have you picked anything out yet Jim? Looking forward to getting some of these shafts.
I am a fan of the AP oak.
Gabe
#1 Canadian
#2 Roma
AP or Roma
