how do you that use a string tracker attach the string to woodies?thanks Burt
I'venever tried it. But have seen pics of a small piece of velcro (the rough side) wrapped right behind the broadhead. Then the end of the string tracked tied on to that.
^^ what he said^^.
Cut a piece about 1/4" wide and wrap it around the shaft just behind your broad head. Then tie the string onto it and wrap it around a couple of times. Works great. Would have never found this guy if it wasn't for my string tracker! He didn't bleed hardly any until I hung him up.
thanks guy's...Nice HOG---- Burt
I used a piece of black tape right behind the broadhead. wrap the shaft once put string and fold back over the next wrap. Worked on bears for me a number of times.
I have some snuffers, so I plan to tie a bowline to the broadhead itself.
Here's a how to from guru...
I've used it for years after seeing his original...

The hook side of velcro, just like crittergetter described!

I've always made two wraps around the shaft and a double half-hitch. Push it up to the head and pull tight.
