No venison on the table...but I now have the opportunity to do so. Today was the first time shooting my bow since shoulder surgery June 18th! No pain and also my first time shooting my new 40# Toelke Pica. Looks like I'll be able to hunt this season. Pulling the bow back and not having vibration pain in the shoulder is just pure enjoyment again  tippit

Little harder to recover "later in life". Good on you though.
Good luck with the season.

Boy do I hear you. I fell while fishing in early August. I thought that I stuck the landing but ended up with a distal radial fracture on my string hand. I thought that I was terminated for the season and that was AWFUL given the amount of vacation time planned AND a new bow on the way. However I am healing ahead of schedule and I was ecstatic to find that I can already comfortably pull and shoot an old 45# Bear Grizzly that I never shot and only had hanging around for nostalgia. It is lighter than my usual stuff, but I was really amazed and impressed by how fast, crisp, and stable it shot. NOW I know what people keep talking about. THE HUNT IS ON.
It is a wonderful thing to recover from an injury and pain that keeps us from enjoying this activity that we love so much. Best of luck and savor the recovery

My advice would be to take it slow and don't overdo it. I had knee surgery this past spring and got a little to aggressive with my workouts recently and am now heading back to the Ortho for another look:(

Great news Jeff ... keep it slow and steady and good luck to you in the future.

June surgery and shooting in September! That's great Doc, you must have listened well to your PT.
Took me a solid 5 months on my right shoulder.....I didn't do as I was told. A solid 4 months on my left when I followed instructions.
