Title: Hunting in Montana
Post by: Jorgy on September 05, 2015, 05:57:00 PM
Is it feasible to plan a hunt on public land for elk between Winnet and Lewiston,Montana.I've been told you can't get on land.We are non-residents from Wisconsin.

Yes there is BLM state land and CMR. Get some plot maps lots of land owners will try to run you of public land. tell you pull out a map or GPS. But you can not corner jump from one section of public to another. I think this is a really dumb law. I killed a nice 6x7 bull in unit 410 a few years back.
