Almost didn't keep this little gem.
I was frustrated with the delays from Chekmate when they fell behind due to illness and other problems.
Then the shipping got mixed up and it went to Mississippi instead of here to Ontario. THEN it got held up in customs for almost 2 weeks...
I had it for sale, then decided to take it out, tune it and try it out.
In a word...WOW!!! what a nice little longbow/flatbow. It is 58" long, 54#'s at 26" and shoots a heavy ash arrow with authority.
It is hickory/actionwood cored with waterfall bubinga veneers belly and back. the riser is bubinga, actionwood, hickory and walnut. Black phenolic/micarta tips round it out.
It really handles my old GN quiver nicely and is a joy to shoot. I have missed using a bowquiver the last 2 seasons; they are really the most practical option.
It is almost a "D" when strung, very mild R/D.
The fit and finish are amazing, I have other bows, but this one stands alone in that category, Marc really knows his stuff and puts out great looking/shooting bows.
It is fast becoming the bow I tote to the woods the most. :bigsmyl:

Not a fan of catwhiskers, I have some woolie whispers coming from 3Rivers next week; then it will be super quiet!

Nice bubinga lams!! Should have ordered some hush puppies to quiet the bow.
Suppose I could have...but 3rivers is a sponsor, wool is wool AND it keeps the $$ flow here too eh? :archer: You would like this one Chort, it loads real fast for us short-draw guys.

I think I did a bad thing....I let Manny shoot the little Chekmate; now HE WANTS one!! lol. ;) :)
I was stumping with Manny between deer hunts today and man, that little bow is a joy.
Manny agreed, it was by far the best workmanship he has seen in a bow.
thanks again Cujo!
