Title: Robertson Raven Styk vs Silvertip T/D Longbow
Post by: Pokerdaddy on September 02, 2015, 06:22:00 PM
A member has both a Robertson Raven Styk 3-piece LB and a Schaefer Silvertip 3-piece LB.  Trying to decide which to buy!  Both are 64", both roughly 49@28.  Same price.  Need input!  Which would you go with?

Also a Pronghorn 3-piece to consider.  But being a completely different bow I didn't want to compare it with the other two.

Would my wife kill me if I bought all three?  That is the elephant in the room!

That is one only your heart mind and soul can answer for you. I guess you will have to flip a coin.

I would ask to try both and then I would know which one.

Never been a 3 pc longbow guy, but if I ever got one it would be a Pronghorn.

Andrew, I was in Frankenmuth yesterday, I should have thrown my A&H 3piece LB in the truck. You could have shot that bow, then you would be really confused on which bow to buy!!! HAHA!

Why don't you shoot both, then decide over chicken dinner at Zhenders.

Andrew I have a Ravenstyk and love it. And seeing that Dick and Yote aren't making them anymore you might want to snatch it up! And the recurve limbs are interchangable too...That being said, the Silvertip LB is nice too. I shot them and they do shoot great. Like hockey7 said shoot both and decide! Good luck!

I had a raven styk and I should have kept it! I don't think you would be disappointed either way you go. They are both awesome bows built by great guys       like everyone else said tough decision.

Easy, the Pronghorn.  And the other two.  Have them shipped somewhere besides your house.  Pay for them out of your petty cash stash and live happily ever after.
