I just blew up 3 arrows time for some more. I had axis, and Easton acc...both shot well but I never loved either. I have a 30.5 draw and my bow is 60@30.5. Shoot off the shelf with a thin strike plate and 3/16 past center cut riser.of a feather rest. So long draw guys what do you like for carbon arrows? Thinking ad trads. Want a tough arrow. Long draw guys know the trouble with arrows cuz we don't have room to cut to tune. Lemme know what you love!
Right now I am an Easton Full Metal Jacket kind of guy...I shoot the standard ones in 400, 340 and 300 spine...with a couple of my bows and BCY-X strings I am shooting the Dangerous Game 250 spines with 350 grains up front...those arrow weigh 933 grains so only for big critters at relatively close range...my buddy just got some very thick walled carbons from Australia...I am looking forward to trying them...and never rule out 2317 and 2219 aluminum either...I have shot a lot of them
DDave
My DL is 29 1/2". Don't know if that is considerd long or not, but I really like my Easton Axis Full Metal Jacket arrows.

gt 55-75 should get you going and if you get blems they are cheaper
Black Eagle Arrows
Rampages, outlaw, renegade
I have been getting by with Beman Bowhunters, full length.
.340s out of my 64ish# RER longbow and .500s out of my 57# ASL. The ASL is not even close to center cut and is tuned awesome with the 500s, but I had to really dump front weight for the 340s to bare shaft decent on the RER. I am looking at trying some 300s with a bit of weight up front next.
As an aside, to show how bow design changes everything, I have another moderately reflexed longbow, around 80# at my draw, with less center cut and a built up plate, and it shoots the same .340s fine (have not bare shafted this bow).

X2 on the GT5575
Carbon express heritage 350, 31.25" bop, 50gr insert and 145-150 point. Centaur 57@30. Ce250 where way too weak at that length bare shafting
I have some gt 300 spine but they just never would bareshaft unless I went with 125 point. Couldn't get them to 10gpp. I hear good things about ce heritage. Anyone like the ad trads?
I shoot both wood and aluminum as needed for events or hunting. Never like the carbons I have used.
CE Maxima Blue Streak. One of the few arrows i can shoot due to my 32.5" draw length. Very good arrows, but pricy.
My stats are same as yours 30.5 dl and shooting a whip 59@30 so about 62ish.
I use GT trades 75/95 full length with 175 upfront.
You can't get any tougher than AD Hammerheads.
My draw is 30.5 also. Tried carbons several times, but went back to 2018 aluminums. A very tough arrow.
31" draw, Gold Tip Traditionals cut at 31 1/2" with 200 grains up front seem to work for me.
I'm shooting GT Kinetics, you can find some new old stock they came in at 33" with outsert, you HAVE to foot them though, without footing them they are very prone to bendingooutsert, an inch of 2020 aluminum fits them perfect(.400 spine). But now GT offers a commercial footing called a ballistic tip I think it's called. The current model only comes in at 31" I believe, but I was told by a pro shop owner I know that you can order over length arrows on a special order, haven't tried it yet! Since the Kinetics are small diameter I could actually drop a whole spine size
perhaps play with footings. changing the length is like changing the shaft length only your not cutting the arrow. you get bonus foc and bombproofness.
I've got a 31.5" draw, and shooting a full length GT 55/75 expedition hunter arrow with 100 grain brass inserts and 125 grain points. My bow is about 50lbs at my draw.
My carbons are a GT 7595 full length shaft. 60 lb longbow and 350 grains up front.
Muttly, what pounds & GT trad spine are you shooting?
Gt5575 lengthened to 33.75, 100 grain GT insert with 90 grains behind that, and a 2 inch aluminum footing. Total arrow weight of around 700 grains with a 125 tip. Shooting a Raptor longbow 55@32..Scott.
Thanks guys for all the info. I think I'm going to give aluminum arrows a try...wishe me luck
My draw is. 31". I like 3 Rivers Trad Only out of my Sasquatch #55 @ 31". 300 spine

This. GT's are 32" when left untrimmed.
I have been working toward some HFOC and I want to get to EFOC but I need the stiffness and that usually makes the arrows heavier. so far I have yet to break an arrow after footing them.
both bows are drawn to 29.5-30"
for my bamabows hunter 67lb at 28" I shoot Goldtip velocity 300s 30.5" standard inserts with 300gr points, 1" aluminum footings for a 634gr total.
For my bamabows tribute it is 75# at 28" and I use Easton axis .260 at 30.5" with a 75gr hit insert, 300gr points, footed with 1.5" of aluminum, 4inch arrow wrap and 3 4" feathers for a grand total of 766grains.
you want durable arrows use footers. I blasted through my target and burried my fieldpoint 1/3 of an inch into cinderblock bending the tip of the fieldpoint and my arrow and footers were still perfect.
I have blown out some knocks and am tempted to put some aluminum back there for a collar but so far haven't bothered, since I have had no carbon damage even on stone hits.
I tried some GT khaos .200s but they came from GT at only 29 inches... shame to.
I agree with Manitou1. I too use Maxima Blue Streaks with my draw of 30.5. Best arrow recovering out of paradox I have shot and handles wide range of draw weights and shelf materials. Scott
We draw the same and I shoot about 3-4lbs less. I like Gold Tips myself..I don't bother to shorten them usually and generally shoot a 175 grain point. No issues so far.
I've got a 30" draw and i shoot either GT trad 5575 full length with 250 up front or a Easton trad only full length (the ones from 3 rivers) with 250 up front out of a 61# longbow.
