Title: New R/D bow (Manlaw?)
Post by: V-Archer on October 12, 2007, 05:56:00 AM
Hi All,

Finished this R/D bow last week. The bow is 62" long ntn and has a pull of 57# @28".
The limbs – back and belly - are made of bacote under clear glass with a combo of maple and bamboo as core. The riser is made of bacote and cocobolo with a mosaic accent stripe between them. An overlay of black glass with bacote finishes the riser off. The tips are made of Micarta G10 with a bacote overlay.
(Did I obey the Manlaw rules here?)

BTW: This bow probably will be heading to the USA soon.

Very nice bow, but you don't really shoot at that target where it's hanging do you?  :scared:

Kenny,

Yes I do. The target is at approximately 15 yards.
Allthough I could only pull the bow to 26" it flinged arrows like rockets.
BTW: I can handle 47# @ 28", but I felt my shoulders at that point of 26" and I did not want to risk an injury.

Wow. Now that is a good looking bow. The choice of woods, the styling and craftmanship. A work of art. Great job.
