I have a 1959 Gordon Plastics classic that I have been shooting off a Hoyt Pro Rest but it would really look nice with a feather rest..but is anybody making them, in stock or custom, for a lefty bow? For obvious reasons , I cant simply reverse a feather rest made for a RH bow.
We have some in stock.Trap may have a lefty also.
Terry
PM Trap here on TradGang - I believe he makes them, and supplies some of the vendors with his feather rests.
I am not being wise but how is a right hand feather rest not be able to work on a left hand bow. Think about it you stick the rest on the shelf not the window.
The feather rest will still face away from you no matter left or right.
Allen, the feather rests are tapered towards the riser so a right hand would only work if it was not tapered. The tapering helps keep the arrow towards the shelf. I shoot lefty and use Traps feather rests on all my recurves. I hope this helps someone else probably could explain better or show pics.
Ok thanks for the reply, it's nice to know which I didn't.
Alan, here's a right hand rest on a bow viewed from the side and from the front showing how they are contoured to keep an arrow against the side plate.
I use RW feathers for RH rests and LW for LH.

The Nocking Point, 3 Rivers, Big Jim, Raptor Archery, and the Footed Shaft should have them in stock.
Thanks! I will go shopping for a lefty.
