What are you folks hunting with this year?. I decided to go a bit lighter this year. I was shooting CX heritage 150 @ 30" with a 125 steel adapter and a 135 grain zwickey delta for an arrow weight of 592 grains. I switched to gold tip warrior 500s with 125 adapters and magnus I 135 grain heads at 504 grains. I like the slightly flatter trajectory I'm getting out to 25 yards. This is out of a Kodiak Magnum that's 45 @ 28, and I draw to 29. Just curious as to what you guys are going to be flinging come opening day. I got my bow shooting darts today . I added a bear weather rest and really like it. The bow seems more forgiving. The arrows were weak and I had the rest lying around thinking I would never use it,so i threw it on instead of building out the strike plate or cutting. sorry for the rant, I need it to be deer season i missed the whole season last year.
Matt.

29.25" 1535's with 50 grain brass inserts and 125 grain stingers out of a 46# whip
Cedar with 160 grain Snuffers or two bladed Magnus broadheads. I put on the Snuffers for a fall bear hunt and I might just leave them on for deer season.
I shoot XX75 camo hunter aluminums in both my bows...
2018's from the 48#@31 longbow, about 32" long with 125 grain screw-in Simmons or Steel Force heads.
2419's from the 68#@31 recurve, about 32" long with 175 grains worth of adapters and Zwickeys on the business end.
I shoot the same shafts year after year. While I've got about a 5 dozen supply of each shaft, I rarely ruin (or lose) arrows. I've got some aluminum arrows that I've been shooting regularly for 4-5 years, and they are really holding up well for me.
28'' gt 600 100gr.insert 150 grizzly
Still,waffling
Either Beeman MFX classics cut to 30.5 with 100 gn insert and. Woodsman 125 BH
Or Beeman MFX classics cut to 29 with 100 gn insert with a Zwickey 125 glue on with a 75 gn adapter.
Both fly about the same the Zwickeys are quieter but the woodsman sharpen easier. And the 29in arrows are,a little easier to manage in and out of either my back quiver or my arrowmaster. I can't decide :dunno:
River cane arrows...

For my Liberty "Classic" longbow I have some Surewood Shafts that I put a tail taper on in 65/70's, with 125gr STOS heads.
For my Blacktail "Columbian Blacktail" longbow I have some Sweetland Forgewoods in 75/80's with 175gr Tuffheads.
Snag's Surewoods 70/75 with 160 STOS . That head did a great job shooting completely through my Bear this spring.
No surprise there, Ryan D. told me me the only problem I would have is cleaning the dirt off the head after it shot through the bear and buried itself in the dirt. As usual, he was right!
I would like to try a Cutthroat someday also.
Easton 2016 29.5" with standard insert Zwickey Eskilite 135 grain for 500 grain arrow.

2018 XX75's with 100 gr Magnus Stingers. Good luck y'all !
My quiver will carry the same arrows from last year: Tapered Surewood fir with 200 gr Grizzly Kodiaks or Instincts. Hopefully they will end up looking like this one.

I'm sticking with my GT3555s. They hit right to point of aim with 200gr up front out of my mid-40# bows. A 160gr Zwickey with total weight of 220gr up front gave me complete penetration on a 235# hog. This year they will be wearing my new set of 200gr single-bevel Cutthroats.
Need I say shaving sharp?
