Great picture my friend. Congratulations on another successful hunt. One suggestion, change barbers. They didn't do right by you. :saywhat: :bigsmyl:
Hahaha!!!!!!
I told the PH after those pics that if he let me take another pic without a hat on, I was gonna fire him!!!!
Thanks, Danny, I hope all is well on your end!

Good stuff right there.
Good luck Bisch, I hope you do well.
Cool! Nice shot. I'd tell you to have fun, but I can't imagine that you're not already.
What kind of bird is that, by the way?
Bob
So Bisch, did you eat 'em? Taste like South African turkey?
I've heard that they taste like a cross between chicken and turkey but would love to hear a first hand account. :campfire:
WOW Bisch!...looks like a guinea fowl in the pic...I think even Fred bear said they were too jittery to get with a bow and recommended a shotgun...Impressive shooting..hope you have a blast
:clapper: :clapper:
Good shooting! We use to raise them and they never sit still it would be hard to hit one. You did good. Oh and they are good eatin as well as their eggs you just need about 4 to equal one chicken egg. Be nice if their wing feathers where big enough to get fletching out of them. Heck if they were good to use and I still raise them. There would be about of featherless guineas. Lol
Nice trophy. I'm tempted to take care of a couple around the house that the neighbor has had escape. Can't stand the racket. With my luck I'd get caught. Guess I'll leave them to the fox that roams the area.
Congrats!
If I went to Africa, Guinea Fowl would be high on my list to shoot, they are by far my favorite table fowl! Congrats Brother of the Bow!

Yes, it is a guinnea fowl. there are a bazillion of them over there, and they are no problem to shoot out of a blind. Sneaking up stickbow close to them would be a lot harder. They wanted them for camp food. We only shot them if they were hanging around when we were about to leave a blind. We did eat them. They made a chicken salad kind of thing out of it that we ate on sandwiches for lunch, and it was pretty good. I would say that the taste and texture was much closer to turkey salad though.

Good shooting my friend. Have fun and be safe.
Well done Jerry

Looks like "Bisch" is taking more than Guinea fowl. Love those spiral horns. Looking forward to the story. Congrats. :clapper:
